Gasoline Fuel System Problems of Chevrolet 1500

State inspection my truck failed due to gasoline rusted and leaking gas,rear shackles rusted thru, parking break won't hold corrosion. I have never had so many rusted out parts on my truck before, the gas line should not rust thru this is a safety issue. Shackles rusted thru what gives my old 88 never had any of these problem please do a recall.

This truck has several exhaust header bolts that are breaking off. This is a major defect and should be a recall to replace the exhaust header bolts they should not be breaking off and they are causing emission errors and needing major repairs.

After filling up my truck and got speed up to about 65mph my gas gauge went to empty and then would come back up after hitting a bump in the road or rocking the truck back and forth , also the light on the gear shift lever kept going out and couldn't tell what gear I was in, could peck on console and light might come back on but stays off most of the time now. Now the fuel gauge still acts up and it does not give and accurate reading. Have to set my trip timer each time I fillup so I will know how much gas I have unless someone steals a lot of it then I usually run out of gas along side the road. Fuel gauge reads empty when full and bounces around after a little fuel is used. I purchased this truck new and this started at about 50,000 mis. And is now a constant thing. I was told this is a $1000 fix and is prevalent on these models and should be subject to a recall but that will not happen.

The fuel gauge jumps from full to empty it sets off the warning lights.
