Driving vehicle & trying to maintain it on the road when the steering jerked away from driver's hand. Took vehicle to mechanic & informed consumer that a spool valve in power steering box caused problem. Did not allow fluid to flow through to steering, steering by itself. An intermittent problem. Manufacturer has been notified.
Steering column is pulling to the left.
While driving the steering wheel collapsed. Dealer was contacted and the problem has been fixed.

Steering column: pulled out of driveway, driving along the highway attempted to make a left turn and steering column came loose on the right side. Vehicle accelerated to the maximum. Put foot on brake, but it would not stop, had to turn the key off to stop vehicle.
