Fuel Delivery problems of the 2001 Chevrolet 2500

I have a 2001 chevy 2500hd 4wd crewcab pickup w/6. 0 liter engine, with 54000 miles on it. I continue to have a problem with a sticky accelerator pedal. Several times daily when leaving from a stop (parking or stop lights) I experience the need to apply extra effort on accelerator pedal before it releases. This causes the truck to surge forward or backwards when backing up. G m does have a service bulletin for this #02-06-04-054a. I feel this is a safety hazard and possibly a recall should be issued. I have a friend with the same truck who also experienced this problem and had it repaired under warranty. I would appreciate hearing from you at your earliest convenience.
