Rear Suspension Springs problems of the 2001 Chevrolet 2500

One problem related to rear suspension springs has been reported for the 2001 Chevrolet 2500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Rear Suspension Springs problem

Failure Date: 06/11/2002

The vehicle often times vibrates in the speed range from 10 mph to 70 mph. Within the times the vehicle is vibrating in the speed range of 50-70, occasionally the vehicle will jump within the lane, on the order of quarter or halves of a foot. Towing generally minimizes the vibration; however now, steering gets more emphasized and sloppy, with a less in control feeling. I have brought the vehicle to a Chevrolet dealership and they have done their best to minimize the vibration by making minor/scheduled maintenance adjustments to the vehicle, yet the problem still persists. I have suspected the rear differential, front springs, tires, and suspension, but I am not sure what component or combination of components are the root cause of the problem.
