Two problems related to seat belt have been reported for the 2001 Chevrolet 2500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Head on collision hit the brakes and truck jumped. When vehicles hit seatbelt didn't lock right away which threw me forward and into the drivers side door. It was a head on accident and airbags never went off which make the emt's and police concerned do to the damage to the truck. .
Front and rear seatbelts lock so tight sometimes that the only way for relief is to unbuckle them and re-fasten while driving! all four retractors are not working properly. Once the seat belt is un-fastened, the seat belt does not completely retract back in. This leaves the seat belt dangling after use and potentially too loose for next passenger.
