One problem related to air brake disc caliper has been reported for the 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
In the past year, we have had to replace the rear driver side brake pads of vehicle and have also had to replace the caliper as it exploded. The brake pads were changed for the 3rd time on 05/23/05. Luckily, the caliper has not exploded again. The remaining brake pads on the front of the truck and rear passenger side are fine.
