When we purchased a 2002 chv Avalanche, it was equipped with onstar. When everything went digital, we were told by the dealer that they did not have a conv kit for our model. Since we travel, what optons d we have of getting onstar to replace our equipment. We have everythin except the phone, I guess.
Rear window frame cracked right in the middle of the lower portion.
Rear window frame plastic is cracking, there is a 3/8 gap that has form making the window unstable and leaking both air and water. The truck is out of warranty.
Rear window frame cracked like many others, factory defect should be replaced even if the factory warranty has expired.
Popping noise when turning coming from under cab at drivers feet and passengers feet. Transmission cross member bolt holes in frame have stretched horizontally and allow crossmember to shift side to side. Also front body mounts pop when turning causing stress on front mount bolts. ** Chevrolet said this is normal and the only patch they have for the popping at the transmission mount is to put washers both sides and the same patch for the body mounts. ** note pictures are available of the stretched out holes.
Removed mid-gate glass on 2002 Avalanche to clean and noticed that plastic around mid-gate was separated from itself. Window had never been out before.
Water leak discovered again for the fifth time. Dealer has replaced carpet and pad on previous repairs and new seals were installed. Was dry for about 6 months. Carpet under back seat is soaking wet again. I am extremely tired of this malfunction in design, causing such issues. The bed stays mostly dry, and honestly I never expected the bed to be dry 100% of the time. However the interior of the truck should not be wet under any circumstances. Dealer has explained how the keep the drain channels clear and it does not help at all.
Water leaking into bed and passenger compartment. Water leaked for 6 months, went to dealer. Dealer discovered leak due to carpert being saturated with water under back seat and side rails at the b-pillar. Dealer replaced carpet and pad and supposedly fixed leak due to bad seal. 1 week after receiving truck from the dealer we discovered the new carpet saturated with water under back seat and side rails and now the front driver side carpet. Preparing to return truck to dealer since this was discovered on Saturday. Truck has 35000 miles.
A fluttering noise from the lower drivers side windshield support pillar area at appx. 50+ mph or when driving against a strong wind. The noise sounds like it is coming from the engine compartment and resonates thru the pillars plastic cover. .
Water leaking into the passenger compartment, causeing the carpet to get drenched, vehicle is red in color.
Water has leaked inside the passenger compartment since purchased. The dealer has attempted to repair the problem for over a year. The manufacturers legal department recently advised the consumer that they will make no further repair attempts and that the leak is deemed reasonable/acceptable.
Front windshield make a fluttering noise at speeds greater then 55 mph. Took motor vehicle to dealer 8 months ago they replaced the molding and they were fine to about a month ago. Now they say they don't have a place to road test it that they can do 55 mph.
Consumer states his midgate is leaking (water is coming in). Consumer has taken this truck 4 times for the same thing. He said this time will be the fifth time, and is asking Chevrolet to take the truck back for possible buy back. Nlm.
Bed of truck is leaking everything gets wet. It is also leaking into the cab of truck> this was a concern when I purchased it and was assured there would not ever be a problem. Have had it to dealer here 2 times and still leaking. Have whooping sound from sun roof in open position, if I hold up on it, it stops. This I was told could not be fixed. Springs are just too weak.
