One problem related to gas tank strap has been reported for the 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Strap on gas tank broke (rusted through) while driving on bumpy road. Tank fell and hit driveshaft. I was surprised it didn't rupture the tank.
