Manifold/header/muffler/tail Pipe problems of the 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche

1 Manifold/header/muffler/tail Pipe problem

Failure Date: 08/23/2016

The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche. When the vehicle was started, there was an abnormal sound coming from the engine compartment. The contact stated that the exhaust manifold bolt heads fractured and caused an exhaust leak. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 81,108.

2 Manifold/header/muffler/tail Pipe problem

Failure Date: 04/04/2011

Exhaust manifold bolt heads are breaking off causing there to be an exhaust leak. Pollution recall should be inforced to have gm cover all repairs of the exhaust manifold bolts. Check engine light comes on and vehicle can not pass emissions with this problem.
