Code p2128 code p2122 have replaced tps, throttle body, accelerator pedal (×3) and bypassed connectors with direct wiring from accelerator pedal to ecm continue to get codes with check engine light with decreased engine power, check stabilitrak, and stabilitrak disabled. Have to clear codes with bluedriver multiple times even while driving short distances and sometimes on start up.
Dash cracked had to replace rack and pinion, now the steering angle position sensor is not working causing the stabilitrak and traction control to show a code. .
Driving at normal speed 55 mph then all of a sudden the stabilizer track and abs light kicked in causing the vechile to decrease in power nearly stopping almost resulting in crash and bodily harm to me example hitting the steering wheel due to sudden stopping.
As I was driving my Avalanche the stability track and traction control turned on my truck reduced power to half and it pulled right. I drove into lots of dirt and my brakes were affected too. I have been having issues with my 2007 avalance stabilitrak traction control turning off intermitingly. I have had my truck to the dealer 3 times on this issue and I am still with the same problem. This started over a year ago and when bringing it in for service there were no codes found for this problem. Today after picking up my truck once again and paying the dealer to replace the remote control door lock receiver being one of the codes showing this did not solve the problem and the part removed was still good. It seems to me that the service dept at the chevy dealer has no clue on how to solve this problem. Everytime I start my truck even sitting at idle the bell starts chiming and the triangle signand the warning reads service stabilitrak then service traction control (off) activates within a few miniuts. This keeps going on and off as I am driving and when its in the off position the trans shifts gears very hard. Looking trough this forum I can see that this had been a major problem in the past with 2003 and up and there are many people talking aboutthis issue with their trucksbut I have not come across anyone who can give the answer on how to resolve this problem. Dose anyone else have this problem or have heard of this being a problem with an answer.
I am a soldier with 17yrs of active duty service and I was home over the weekend for the mlk weekend with my family. I leave Monday morning about 0900am to return back to my home station and my truck was driving fine, I stopped at a red light to make a left turn and when the light turned green I accelerated to about 5-10mph then there was a clunking noise and my vehicle would not accelerate anymore it would just send the rpms up so I drifted off the road and put my vehicle in park because I just had my vehicle serviced. I checked all my fluids and they all were fine so I put my vehicle in reverse worked fine, selected drive and it wouldn't move, selected 3rd gear wouldn't move, selected 2nd gear truck would move, and selected 1st the truck would move. There I was with my wife and my 2 daughters and mother-n-law on the side of the road in nc, luckily we didn't get that far from my in-laws home and they called a local shop that towed my vehicle back to her home. I have always wanted an Avalanche but I get on the computer and I start reading about other people who have had the same problem and that is shocking, and to happen under a 100k miles. This is not my 1st chevy vehicle I have owned as well, I have owned a chevy trailblazer ltz that the four wheeled drive went out on that I purchase for my wife, so I traded that in for the 07 trailblazer ss that my wife really loved and that vehicle ended having an electrical fire from the wiring harness and my vehicle sat down at the dealership for almost a month until I notified them that something has to happen in which they let me trade that vehicle in for a Honda accord in which I haven't had any issues out of that my wife is currently driving. In my reading last night when I finally made it back home after borrowing a car from my nephew that just happens to be another Honda accord and I see all these stories posted horrible.
The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche. While driving approximately 70 mph, the accelerator pedal engaged itself without manual application. This caused the vehicle to dramatically accelerate. The brakes failed to work. The vehicle was towed to an authorized dealer for a diagnostic, but no error codes appeared. The manufacturer has not provided a resolution. The failure and current mileages were 38,000. Updated 3/16/09 updated 03/18/09.
