Key gets really hot and after I drive it for a while and shut car off and go to turn it back on after it sits for just a few minutes it will start but it will keep dying and then I have to let it sit for at least 20 to 30 minutes before it will start I guess the ignition has to cool down and it will be fine until it gets hot again I am afraid of car catching fire.
Cd player gets too hot. It has melted a cd. I run it for 15 minutes and you can't even touch the face of it or the cd itself. I've contacted the dealership and they say its normal. I believe that with the clock, the cd player, and the ignition (& key) getting pretty hot that it's an electrical problem.

My 2004 Chevrolet Aveo has a problem with the ignition key getting very hot. I am worried of a electrical fire. My a/c went out due to a bad seal and I was told they had redesigned the a/c compressor. What are my options?.
