Check engine light constantly coming on. June, 2011 light kept coming on even after replacement for O2 sensors. July, 2011 thermostat housing goes out without check engine light coming on. Housing replaced and light keeps coming back on again. Alternator went out right after warranty expired. Windshield cracked when temperature dropped quickly outside. Other parts replaced as well.
: the contact stated the check engine light has been illuminating since purchase. The vehicle has been to the dealership twice for this problem, but the computer displays no codes. The invoice stated the manufacturer is aware of the problem and is currently investigating a possible repair. The recommended repair will be sent to the dealerships when found.
The contact stated his vehicle shut down while driving. Prior to the car shutting down the engine rpm dropped and then increased suddenly. At the same time the check engine light came on. The vehicle has been intermittently losing power since the contact purchased it. This is the third time the vehicle has been in the shop for the same problem. The dealer thinks the problem lies with the pcm, but they were unable to obtain a replacement part from another vehicle.
