The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the failure was due to an unknown engine cylinder failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 96,000.
My engine light started coming on, so I took it to my mechanic and they did a diagnostic test on my 2007 chevy Aveo. They found that it had the same problem the toyotas had when recalled. It is the throttle position sensor accelerator position sensor. I was told that if it don't get fixed, either the gas pedal will stick or it could just stop and not go anywhere. I have only had the car almost 1 yr. And it only has 44,000 miles on it.
