Last year I bought this car in February and March is when the problems started, on i85 coming from durham the car wouldn't let me go no more than 20mph. I have been told the throttle body has been gone bad replaced it several time and I'm still having numerous problems with it and the break line rupturing while coming from raleighi keep good maintenance on my car to not understand why this is happening and yesterday the check engine light comes on again please put this car on recall. This car has stressed me to the max and I can't go places I want anymore!.
I have had to replace the suspension rods, (tie rods, struts, and brakes and now the ball bearrings in the tires. I bought this car in 2010 which from my understanding it was supposed to be new at the time of purchase from baum Chevrolet in clinton, illinois. I have bought three sets of tires (new) what is up with this car? drive daily. I have reported it to general motors who insist it is not on recall. It should be.
Had an accident when someone ran into me. Airbags did not deploy. Suspension bars had to be replaced. Also have a crack in the vacuum hose. I was driving apprx 25-30 miles. The problems had nothing to do with the accident. . My question is that I should not have to replace the suspension bars this soon. Now the drums have to be replaced (why?) I only have 60,000 miles on the car but these problems started long before this. Is this car on the recall list? )(hattie. Hicks@hotmail. Com).
Had to replace suspension tie rods, po171 struts, tires 3 times and now a vacuum leak. Bought car in 2010. Car hesitates when driving and take off.
Took Aveo to certified chevy dealer as instructed by gm customer service to have front suspension problem diagnosed. While there, told my tires were worn out at less than 20000 miles. Left front strut and bearing replaced for creaking front end. On drive back to my home, with 500. 00 worth of new tires, the creaking is still there. The tires will undoubtedly wear out again. This is a continuing problem with front suspension that gm will not take responsibility for. Calling customer service again today. I had tried to get problem fixed while under warranty and was told they couldn't find a problem. Now they seem to be able to. What do I do with this car that can't be fixed?.
In spring,2012, Aveo front end started loud creaking noise when turning, going over bumps. Took to certified chevy dealer in June to have problem taken care of(under warranty),they said they could find nothing wrong. Warranty ran out in January,2013. Noise got much worse. Called gm who said take it to dealer for inspection, which I would have to pay for. Took on April 5,2013. Struts and bearing need to be replaced, car has less than 20,000 miles on it. I now know this problem is recurring, and seemingly can't be permanently fixed,a design flaw that gm refuses to acknowledge. I am not a single complainant concerning this expensive malfunction.
