The contact own a 2008 Chevrolet Aveo. The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced a period of unintended acceleration sporadically. The failure occurred without warning. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the technician cleaned the fuel injectors. The vehicle was able to be operated normally however the failure recurred after a few days. The vehicle was also taken to a dealer where the failure could not be replicated. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 37,000.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer who stated that the throttle body assembly needed to be replaced. She mentioned that she had to replace the throttle body assembly four times because the repair only lasted for 25,000 miles. The manufacturer was contacted who only offered to file a complaint.
