Other Fuel System Problems of Chevrolet Aveo

I have problems with whenever I go to put gas in my car, some of it goes on the ground. Not all of the gas goes on the ground, but a little less than half of what I purchased. My headlights are so dim that I can't hardly see when I'm driving at night. Also, my passenger side air bag light is constantly on? there's one there and nothing bigamy wrong with it that I can see. The stereo. . . . . Only the driver side front speaker works, the other three doesn't work at all. . . . Please look into these few things or give me some sort of idea of what I can do.

Last year I bought this car in February and March is when the problems started, on i85 coming from durham the car wouldn't let me go no more than 20mph. I have been told the throttle body has been gone bad replaced it several time and I'm still having numerous problems with it and the break line rupturing while coming from raleighi keep good maintenance on my car to not understand why this is happening and yesterday the check engine light comes on again please put this car on recall. This car has stressed me to the max and I can't go places I want anymore!.

Takata recall as I was heading to work one morning the light I was waiting at turned green as I got ready to go my car shut off completely, but restarted. Ifound out my car was leaking oil on my head gaskets causing it to shut off. My sales rep managed to talk his mechanic to fix that. Now my car has a problem with the fuel injectors causing the take off not to be proper & draining my gas!!.

Tamara recall my car combusted into frames after being wrecked into a curve of last year of June.

Car became unresponsive to the gas pedal at 45 mph. A loud clicking noise could be heard underneath about mid body. It doesnt want to accelerate for passing etc. Could smell fuel and the car was smoking lightly when I got it home. Sat it for 30 minutes and it seems to be ok for now,but havent been on highway yet. 36,000 miles.

The "passenger air bag" light on the dash stays on and won't go off. Also the check engine light goes on and off and I had the code checked and they said is is something with the fuel. I have heard other complaints about the air bag light and it might not be deployed in an accident. Why does general motor have to wait until people get killed in their cars and have a class action lawsuit filed before they do the right thing?why don't they recall these cars and fix the problems with electrical, air bags and other manufacturing defects? my car only has about 21,000 miles on it. Chevrolet should be ashamed to sell lemons and show total disregard for their customers lives.

My headlights are completely burning out. I've changed them a couple times and my father told me my wires keep burning out. Also my fuel system keeps not giving enough fuel. I keep getting a gas line emissions when I get a check on my car. Check engine light on then off a few days later. Also my seatbelt in the back keep coming out.

Since, I obtained the vehicle from phone# 909-379-3256 go=motors christopher in hemet, CA. It has had problems. 1) no ac, 2)problems with starter & starting vehicle, took it back and 3) forth to dealer4x problem never resolved took it to another dealer friend 4)who repaired and charged me $1500. 00, 5) as of 3/31/16 there has been a loud rattling in the engine, I had the oil charged and the mechanic @ walmart said it 6) sounds like a timing-belt or water/fluid pump rattling, and be careful it doesn't blow. So, the vehicle is setting in our driveway. Your move on resolution. Please inform, next move, I do not want to keep making payments for a lemon of a vehicle? I bought by chevy Aveo in 2013 with roughly 27,000 miles on it. I loved that car and it worked well for me until recently at 45,000 miles. While driving, 15-20 minutes into the drive, the car would lose power and fail to accelerate. I would put the pedal all the way to the ground and the spedometer would barely creep up. The first two times it did this it "snapped out" of it and drove the rest of the way with no problems. This last time I had some leaking radiator fluid which the dealer wrote off as a "loose radiator cap". When the cap was screwed back on it still stalled for my father, and it wasn't from overheating. The dealer says they can't find anything wrong with my car. I currently have it at another mechanic for a second opinion. I am extremely disappointed with Chevrolet. Will sell this car ASAP and never buy from chevy again!.

Stopped at stop sign went to resume driving pressed down on gas peddle no power . Car was still on but gas peddle was depressed to the floor with no affect. . . Next occurrence at stop light no power when gas peddle depressed. Same problem with my silver Aveo odi #10660361 only was in motion when no power occurred . Happened three times with silver Aveo.

I was driving and the car slowed down in traffic. It then started to buck then die out! when I started it up again, it started and drove for a short period and died out again in traffic! I have had two or three O2 sensors replaced, even in the first year of ownership,, new off the lot. This vehicle has had the signal switch replaced, the clock went out two years ago, and now it loses power in traffic. This is proving go be a very dangerous vehicle and I hope no one has to die before something is done to remedy the situation!.

This is not my vehicle. I am reporting fraud by gm. Please review the information I am supplying because the new gm failed to do so.

As a father I am writing this on behalf of my 18yr old daughter. This vehicle has lost steering, brakes and acceleration 3 times over 2 years of ownership. Each time has been at low speeds (2mph - 10mph) while driving at low speeds in traffic, the Aveo will loose the ability to accelerate, no matter how far the gas pedal is pushed down. The brakes only work slightly, and the pedal is hard push down. The steering is very unresponsive, similar to the brake issue it's hard to steer. While the above 3 issues happen at once, the engine is at idle. To fix, she has to turn the car off and restart.

I bought a chevy Aveo back in Feb 2014. Was on way home sometime in August and getting on to highway from ramp would not accelerate and running hot according to temp gauge. I got it towed to shop and called the next day to find they could not find nothing wrong!! so I picked up the car and about three weeks later on way home this time only on back roads doing 35, the car does same thing. What is it gonna take for chevy to fix this issue that I have seen numerous compaints about. I am not able to just go but another car!!!! wake up Chevrolet!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Vehicle lost all power & had to coast to the side of the road. Took numerous times to try to start it again. Not happy with this.

Front end crash resulting in engine fire. Fire migrated into passenger compartment. Driver suffered burns to face, chest and hands.

Driving at about 35 mph and the car shut down. No power steering, no brakes and no throttle response. Had to use the emergency brake to get it slowed down and stopped. Took it to the dealer and they required a $100 fee to even look at it because it is a year newer than the ones on recall.

While in my driveway, I went to turn ignition on, and car would not start. Radio turned off. It was not until I floored the pedal that the gas and motor started. It happens off and on. Also the key and ignition switch entry area are extremely hot. I am worried this is in fact one of the ignition problems that chevy did not list or is refusing to fix. Please help,. It is not the battery.

Back in 2010, car shut off while accelerating onto freeway. Took into chevy, could not duplicate & didn't fix. Happened 3 more times over 2 years, finally took it in 2012. Dealership shop said it was a faulty oxygen sensor in fuel line. Happened on listed date of incident in rush hour traffic, driving less than 20mph. Vehicle completely shut off. Have not taken it back to be looked at.

Vehicle just locked up, and I was forced to coast down a hill from my houseintyo uncoming traffic. . This has been the second time this has occurred with this vehicle, the first ime, I called triple aaa and had the car towed to arroway Chevrolet dealership in mount kisco NY. This is where I purchased the vehicle. This occured with a 2005 Chevrolet cavalier tht I purchased from arroway in mount kisco, it occured so frequently, that I turned it in and purchased the Aveo. Unfortunately, the same thing is happening with this car.

Bought 2009 Aveo LS sedan brand new for daughter so she would have a safe car for college. When the car warms up it will not respond to gas pedal inputs. This happens on and off at random times, sometimes in the middle of an intersection, other times on the highway. We have parked the car as it is unsafe for our child to drive in the current condition. Trips to the dealership result in "we can't find anything wrong". Frustrating. . . . This was an expensive lesson to never buy a gm product again!.

My Chevrolet Aveo 2006 automobile has several issues that need to be addressed immediately. My car has issues with shifting and it suddenly speeds up for unknown reasons. My check engine light comes on all of the time. I tighten the gas cap as the manual states and it remains on. Also, there could be possible problems with the gas line as the car is making a loud sounds when I accelerate and smells like gas. I received a safety recall notice last year and was told that I would be contacted by mail when parts were ready. After 6 months, I contacted Chevrolet who replied that the parts were still not ready after no response from Chevrolet. I had to do the leg work myself. Their absolute disregard for immediate action is utterly reprehensible. People are being killed or injured because of their lack of or inability to address the situation.

The dashboard over the speedometer becomes very hot and the key is hot when removed. I feel this may be related to recall 14236 regarding running lights. I am concerned about the recall 06133 regarding fuel line/fuse block as well.

This car has a defective throttle body and iac(idle control assembly) . I have to try to crank it 7-8 time before it will stay running. I am physically disabled and on a fixed income ,they told me that it will cost $1000 to $1500 to fix this car which there is no way I can pay this large amount. I believe that chevorlet should do the right thing and put there defect on the recall list.

Check engine light goes on and off for random amounts of times, from hours to weeks at a time. Taken to dealership for testing. Throttle body is defective and needs replaced.

Light front-end impact resulted in engine fire.

I purchased this vehicle brand new. The first winter I had it, the throttle body seized leaving the throttle open and the engine racing - the car has a manual transmission, therefore I was able to depress the clutch and pull it over. The local Chevrolet dealer in circleville, OH performed a technical service bulletin on the car, rerouting the egr system & removing some parts around the throttle body. On subsequent events, the car experienced severe loss of power and surges. The throttle body was replaced. The problem occurred again with the same trouble code being set. The car is now on its third throttle body (tps sensor cannot be replaced separately) this model year has a throttle-by-wire engine control system. My car still suffers from an intermittent engine trouble codes related to the throttle body and surging problems. Finally, the manual transmission broke its internal shifting mechanism and the car locked itself in gear. At the same time, the clutch did not seem to function. I am afraid to drive with family members in this car.
