Three problems related to carrier/rack have been reported for the 1996 Chevrolet Blazer. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Spare tire holder lowered,(under vehicle) and entire spare tire unit fell off. Unknown as to where the tire went or whether there were any injuries or damage.
Cable that holds spare tire rusted, causing the spare tire to fall onto the road at stop sign.
Luggage rack flew off, causing driver to lose control of vehicle.
