Four problems related to battery dead have been reported for the 1998 Chevrolet Blazer. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Delco battery failed, the entire battery positive(+) terminal fell out of the side of the battery, there was a substantial amount of corrosion on the battery and within the battery tray, also cracked and leaking, consumer had 5 years on battery,but was told by dealer that vehicle was over 36,000 miles and would not honor warranty, consumer has replaced batttery.
Battery failed five times, consumer states that the dealer and gm are unwilling to help resolve whatever is causing the excessive battery failures yet they acknowlegde that the number of battery failures is abnormal.
