Three problems related to brake disc caliper have been reported for the 1999 Chevrolet Blazer. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Consumer stated: brakes were squeaking, seemed like braking distance was twice to three times to stop, sometimes had to push all the way to the floor, could feel brake pedal going back and forth. Also, while driving and whether using brakes or not one could hear a rattle of noise. Dealer said calipers were totally defective. Replaced brake pads and rotors.
The rear brakes failed, which was caused by an inoperative caliper and rotor.
When the consumer applied the brakes, the vehicle fish tailed. The dealer indicated the caliper was not compressing with the rotor.
