This is the third time in a little over a year we've had this part break, and every time we try to get it fixed there is always a few days of delay and they don't give a loaner car because they say it's driveable.
After a day of driving this rental car, moderate acceleration caused the driver's seat to travel to its rear limit. The latching mechanism seemed ok from that time onward.
