Four problems related to tank mounting have been reported for the 2000 Chevrolet Blazer. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The gas gauge fluctuates. Do not know the proper amount of gas is in the tank.
Fuel gauge fluctuates violently and rapidly regardless of the amount of gas in tank. Problem has existed for over two years and appears to be a common defect with part. Attempt to replace however options are limited due to sending unit and fuel together as one unit.
The fuel gauge needle didn't register the amount of gas in the tank. It would move back and forth erratically, dropping down to e with a "fuel low" warning and then immediately going back up to f. My mechanic had to put in a new fuel sender and pump at a cost of $670. 00.
While driving the fuel gauge fails to indicate the correct amount of fuel in vehicle, at times the needle would indicate a full tank when it was empty or vice versa.
