Other Fuel System problem #1

Went to park car in a park to drop daughter off and it sputtered out and stalled out of nowhere with no warning. I had received a lamp warning very sporadically prior to this and on occasion that stated 'reduced steering assist drive with care' this resulted in heavy steering for that drive until car was shut off and then it would go away and be fine again, fixed the car through knudtsen chevy due to a recall about a month before on the issue with the engine being turned off and it thinking it was still hot and still running the fan (even though the car was not running). Knudtsen fixed that issue. Low battery voltage light did not come on however battery was older so had battery installed at park to ensure the issue was not due to the battery. The oil was fresh and showed no issues, changed 2 weeks before fresh oil no issues found during service. When tried to restart the car it would think it would try to start and then sputter out and not stay in idle. Les schwab left and called a mobile mechanic to bring the computer. Computer was hooked up and it would try to start, however, it would not know it was already running and try to start again on it's own. . . The codes that came up were the po101 code came up for mass air flow issue. . . And then the codes would go in a wild sequence of fail. . . . . Mechanic checked for loose connections around air filter, took air filter out and it was clean no issues, checked pipe no visible issues. We walked away and walked around the park to give it some time to sit and then we tried it again and it tried and sputtered out and died again would not stay idling. Then all of a sudden we heard it try to start itself without us trying to start it and it clanked. We hauled it to knudtsen for a diagnosis. They stated "the motor will not turn this way or that way and it is seized or locked up". This is a 2021 with only 89,000 miles it should have a longer life than this. Please investigate and is there anything we can do to fix it?.

Other Fuel System problem #2

Car was running fine yesterday, today does not want to start. Thought it was the battery, bought anew battery. Still wouldn't start. Rest of cat is getting great power. Code reader is reading its a fuel pump control moduler which just so happens to be in an open recall for my exact year of vehicle yet my VIN number does not pop up on the GMC website under active recall. I have a 2021 chevy Blazer .

Other Fuel System problem #3

I was driving at approx 45 mph when my car lost all ability to accelerate and shut down in the street. Flashing check engine light and esc warning on the screen. It would try to start but wouldn't. I had it towed to a mechanic who diagnosed and informed me that it is the fuel pump power control module. Upon review he I formed me that there was a recall posted in September 2025 for 2021 Blazer on this exact issue. My car has now been unusable for a week as my mechanic recommends it be repaired via recall at dealership.

Other Fuel System problem #4

I am reaching out regarding an ongoing issue with my 2021 Chevrolet Blazer. The vehicle is experiencing a noticeable stutter or hesitation when shifting between second and third gear. In addition, there are instances where the vehicle accelerates unexpectedly or more aggressively than intended. This behavior is particularly concerning, as it presents a potential safety issue during normal driving conditions. These concerns have become increasingly noticeable, and I am concerned they may indicate a transmission or related mechanical problem that requires prompt inspection and resolution. Please advise if there are any known service bulletins, recalls, or warranty coverage related to these issues. For reference, the vehicle has been properly maintained and this behavior is not consistent with normal operation. Given that this is now the third major issue I’ve experienced with this vehicle, I am hoping this matter can be addressed without additional out-of-pocket expense. After additional research, I have learned that other owners have experienced the same issue. Others have stated the following: 1. Hesitation, stuttering, or jerking between gears owners of 2020–2021 Blazers report hesitation and jerking during acceleration, sometimes described as gears “shifting in and out rapidly. ” forum users mention sluggish shifting or slipping feelings, especially at certain speeds. Others report hard or delayed shifts at low speeds (like 15–25 mph). 2. Shuddering / vibration (often tied to torque converter) there are repeated mentions of “shudder,” “surge,” or vibration during acceleration. Some cases were linked contaminated transmission fluid torque converter clutch (tcc) issues one owner said the problem felt like a bad torque converter and required service attention. 3. Unexpected acceleration / lunging drivers across gm vehicles (including similar transmissions) report: “jerking,” “bucking,” or “lunging” during acceleration some describe needing to.

Other Fuel System problem #5

Car wouldn’t crank.

Other Fuel System problem #6

I was driving down 776 (a busy highway)blazer completely shut off, so scary almost got hit by a semi, I don’t know how he managed to get around me , I jumped out of car! sure thought it was my day to die! called police for help! had it towed home then to garage , was told it was the electrical fuel modular! haven’t slept right in 3 days ! I’m still so shaken up!.

Other Fuel System problem #7

Driving along vehicle shut down in middle of road replace fuel pump, fuel module control in August 2025. Now both top and bottom fuel hose needs replacing. On Nov 2025 I smelled gas and vehicle shut down.

Other Fuel System problem #8

The vehicle has 14,000 miles on it and the fuel pump control module has gone out on it. This happened while away from home and could’ve caused a serious situation if this had happened in a remote area where customer could’ve been stranded or if customer were pulling onto a busy road. Luckily it happened in the parking lot of a store. The vehicle was running fine on the way to the store. When customer came back out to the vehicle it cranked up but then stalled which also left customer in between parking rows, potentially causing an accident. I have the old fuel pump control module readily available for inspection. Customer had an updated version that replaced the original one that was in it. There were no signs or indications that this was going to happen until it did. I know there was a big issue / recall with the modules on silverado and tahoe’s etc. Around the same manufacturing era. For reference- 1/2 tank of fuel, no cel until after it happened, approx. 88° outside, coolant temp near 120°, vehicle battery had good voltage and battery cells are good.

Other Fuel System problem #9

Fuel pump module. Driving highway speeds lost all engine power as car sputtered to a stop. Luckily car srill ran enough to maintain power steering and brake function. No warning lights. Thought it was bad fuel as I had filled the tank the prior evening with little driving after that. Towed to dealership after spending 2 hours in 100 degree plus weather on the side of the highway. Dealership states it is the fuel pump module. Dealership is waiting on new unit to be installed.

Other Fuel System problem #10

The temp gage stays on cool. Ac does not work and the radiator fan stays on after car shuts off. Dealership finds nothing wrong.

Other Fuel System problem #11

The transmission valve control body went out while I was on the freeway. I was able to pull off to the side safely but has rendered my vehicle inoperable until I get this repaired. I have confirmed this with the dealership. This is a large enough issue with vehicles that the necessary parts are on back order. Anecdotally, the dealership told me there was a vehicle that was waiting for almost 3 months for a replacement part. For context I have regularly maintained this vehicle and just 10000 miles ago got my transmission flushed.

Other Fuel System problem #12

On December 4th, 2024, I was driving my Blazer up to our local museum to grab some information. The museum is about a mile and a half from my house. When I had left my house, the car was driving like normal. I pulled into a parking spot at the musuem, and I went to shut the vehicle off, and I thought maybe the check engine light had come on but wasn't completely paying attention to the dash. About 10 minutes later I went to restart the vehicle to leave and I noticed the check engine light on. Since the vehicle seemed to be driving okay I thought I could make it home and check the car's computer to see what the issue was. As I was leaving the parking lot I stopped at the end of the parking lot to look before pulling out onto the road and the Blazer said shift to neutral and restart the vehicle. When I did that the vehicle would not start. It would just crank and crank and then it would finally start for a few seconds. I was going to back my vehicle up out of the road but each time I would try the car would die. I am very thankful this did not happen on the highway or even on the freeway. A friend and myself had to push my vehicle back into a parking spot. The dtc code is a p023f. When this happens, you can't technically shift the vehicle into neutral to push it out of the way because the car has to be running to shift. I was able to force it into neutral, however. I made an appointment with awesome Chevrolet in chehalis wa and had to have it towed to the dealer. They stated it was the fuel pump module. I had at that time 18,388 miles on the odometer. Unfortunately, I no longer feel safe with this vehicle in case it happens again. Where I am hours from home or on a 2-lane road or freeway. The fuel pump module failure appears to be a known issue with gm vehicles. The fuel pump module was replaced and was able to be replaced under warranty. I hope that it does not happen again.

Other Fuel System problem #13

On Friday, April 28, 2023, at about 11:30 am, my car, died as I was driving it out of the grocery store parking lot; luckily, it didn’t happen as I was crossing the busy highway. I attempted several times to restart it, with no luck. There were no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of this problem. The vehicle was in the middle of an aisle, blocking the aisle and many cars in parking spots, so I managed to get it into neutral and it backed around into parking spaces where the left rear quarter stopped against the front tire of a Ford f-350. I was actually thankful for the truck as I had no steering or brakes, and I was on a slight hill heading towards the road. I had it towed to the dealership, which was unable to tell me what the problem was before I obtained a ride home at 3:30 pm and that they would call me when they had it figured out. When I returned home, my husband had searched the internet for recalls for the car and was unable to locate any. I called the service department the next day, Saturday April 29, and was told that the problem was the fuel pump control module, which was under warranty, and it could be 3 months before it was fixed as they didn’t have one, and there was a large backorder. The fuel pump module was recalled on other gm vehicles gm #n212382040 and NHTSA campaign #21v739000, and there was another recall by gm on February 6, 2023 recall #n222372310 that did not include the chevy Blazer.
