The contact owns a 2023 Chevrolet Blazer. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the lane keep assist feature steered the vehicle to the left while the vehicle was driving inside the lane. The lane keep assist warning light was illuminated. Additionally, the vehicle also experienced a loss of power steering assist. The contact stated that the failure occurred after the vehicle drove over a pothole. The contact also stated that the dealer had previously replaced the front-end bracket after another vehicle struck the front end while the vehicle was parked and unoccupied in a parking lot. The vehicle was taken to a second dealer, escude Chevrolet of easley (5010 old easley bridge rd, easley, SC 29642), but the cause of the failure could not be determined. The contact was informed that the tires were the incorrect size for the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 8,500.
Multiple warning lights on the vehicle stating the abs brake system was not functioning, the letters brake showed by the gauges but it was not the parking brake because I put that on to check it and it was a different warning light. The lane assist was not functioning. In January I had the brakes looked at because they are squealing anytime you use them. The brake shop I took it to told me this is a known issue and the brakes are fine and that there was no way to stop the squealing because my brakes still had 80% of their pad. On multiple occasions when I’ve need to brake hard quickly the car had felt like it was shaking and the brakes didn’t feel like they were catching. Vehicle is currently at vandergriff Chevrolet in arlington texas and has been there since August 25th.
