The contact owns a 2024 Chevrolet Blazer. The contact stated that while driving 20 mph with 100 miles of charge, the vehicle stalled and shut off. The screen was black, unresponsive, and failed to start. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with a power module failure. The part was on back order. The electric module was previously replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 10,381.
Driver information centre (dic) and infotainment go dark. This has happened twice now over the last 2 months. While driving suddenly the infotainment goes blank and loses the radio and then the dic follows by going blank (dark). So I was left with no speed indication. The car drives normally during that time. After 30 seconds to a minute the screens come back on as if it rebooted while driving.
This vehicle experiences multiple recurring safety-critical system failures while driving, creating a dangerous operating condition for both the driver and the public. 1. Dashboard / instrument cluster failure while driving while the vehicle is in motion, the dashboard display intermittently shuts off completely. When this occurs, I cannot see my speed, warning lights, battery status, or any other gauges. This creates a severe safety risk because I am effectively driving without any instrument information. The issue occurs while actively operating the vehicle on public roads. 2. Navigation / gps location failure the vehicle’s built-in mapping system frequently shows my location several states away from my actual position. Even though the location is incorrect, the system continues to provide turn-by-turn navigation instructions based on the incorrect location. If these directions were followed, it could cause a driver to make unsafe maneuvers or become distracted while attempting to correct the navigation error. 3. False automatic emergency braking activation the automatic braking system frequently activates even when there are no vehicles, pedestrians, or obstacles present. The vehicle abruptly slows or brakes on open roads with nothing nearby. This creates a significant safety hazard because it could cause a rear-end collision if another vehicle is following. Repair history / ongoing issue: this vehicle has been taken in for repair multiple times for these issues. Despite attempted repairs, the problems continue to occur. The recurring nature of these failures indicates a systemic defect that has not been corrected. Safety concern: these failures create multiple hazardous driving conditions: loss of dashboard information while driving incorrect navigation location and directions unintended automatic braking events allowing this vehicle to remain in service with these unresolved defects places both the driver and the public at risk. Request: I am requesti.
On February 4, 2026, my wife drove to the bank, a trip of about 10 to 15 minutes, and turned off the car at the atm. When she tried to leave, the vehicle wouldn't start. After a while, she opened and closed the door and locked and unlocked the car twice with the remote control, and the vehicle started and she was able to drive, but all the warning lights on the dashboard remained on. It is currently at a Chevrolet dealership for diagnosis.
Chevy of wasilla, ak did not properly inspect a safety recall for the rear parking brake harness. After I showed the dealership the pictures of the holes in the brake harness, I was told that the holes in the brake harness is a feature to let water out. Pictures are attached of said holes in brake harness and text message with dealership representative.
I have found multiple times that the instrument panel (ipc) display and the center infotainment displays have gone dark while driving. This has put me in unsafe driving situations because I am unable to monitor my speed and other important information displayed on the dashboard, or to control critical safety controls such as headlights, and other adas safety controls. Several software updates have been installed by the dealership, but the problem has persisted, suggesting a hardware issue with the radio unit. The manufacture insist it is a software problem and that they are working on a solution. Declining to replace the radio under warranty, additionally, they want me to wait until a new update is released, and in the meantime, my bumper-to-bumper warranty is about to expire. I have found that the radio unit is the main control module for both displays, multiple adas controls, and headlights, and it should be recalled, with the manufacturer extending the warranty or including the radio as a safety feature under the extended powertrain warranty.
The contact owns a 2024 Chevrolet Blazer. The contact stated that while driving 30 mph on an icy road, the vehicle swerved out of the intended lane because of an ice patch on the road. The contact lost control of the vehicle, and the vehicle continued to swerve, almost causing a crash. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where the contact was informed that the vehicle needed a 4-wheel alignment. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and the contact was informed that there were no recalls on the VIN related to the failure. The contact was then referred to the NHTSA hotline to file a complaint. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 22,000.
Charging hatch door will not open. First noticed the problem when it got very cold here. <-15f did not try to pry door open. Hatch needs to be reliable iin all weather. Happened December 13, 2025.
Left turn signal can activate by itself after right turn. Details: driving and making a right turn with the right turn signal active, after the turn when the signal cancels, the signal sometimes activates the left blink-to-pass feature causing the left signal to blink 3 times. This appears to be because the turn signal arm falls too hard. When turning onto a multi lane road this causes confusion to drivers coming up behind where they think I am moving into the left lane, but I am not. Gm has loaded software to reduce this but it still happens. They replaced my turn signal arm and it still happens (much less often now). I can prevent it from happening by using my finger to dampen the turn signal arm when it cancels by catching it and slowing it down. I stopped using my turn signal completely as it is embarrassing when it does this.
While driving the vehicle loses power to the instrument panel and gauges and infotainment system. The vehicle remains under power however the driver looses the ability to see how fast the vehicle is moving or any information as the entire dashboard loses power. The safety to both myself and my family as well as other drivers is at risk if I am unable to see how fast I am going or control any equipment in my vehicle. This is a known issue online with many other drivers of the Blazer ev experiencing the same issue with no remedy from the manufacturer.
After getting the recall repaired (which I was never informed of and I had the parking brake engage as I was travelling 30 mph causing me to skid down the road) I got the vehicle back and the very next day it was the same issue and the abs and traction control light came on and it began making loud clicking noises every time I would engage the brake.
The glare reflecting from the dashboard on to the windshield is many times blinding and obstructs a lot of the front view. Also randomly the side mirrors tilt up while driving giving me a view of the sky but not the road behind me.
The right side tail signal light module needs to be replaced. I was having intermittent issues with the right turn signal, I took the car to the dealership and they told me that the module needed to be replaced. The car has been in the dealership since March 19th, more than a month ago waiting for the part. I contacted Chevrolet and they keep telling me that no eta for part is available, and they do not provide any more details on what is causing this delay.
