There is a glare from the dashboard of the vehicle that shines onto the windshield and causes visibility to be nearly impossible. I am unable to see certain things on the roadway as a result. This happens every single time the sun happens to be out and is an extreme safety issue. This vehicle is not safe to operate or be on the roadway in any way shape or form.
Glossy components on the Blazer ev dashboard reflect onto the windshield in most daylight driving conditions. The glare is excessive and makes it difficult to discern pedestrians and other obstructions. Chevrolet acknowledged the design flaw when they recently started providing free dash covers for the equinox ev. The equinox and Blazer ev dashboards are essentially the same. A dash cover is not a permanent solution though, and Chevrolet should replace the glossy dashboard components with a material that is less reflective.
Yesterday afternoon the front wipers stopped working during down pouring rain. I had to drive home 10 miles with no wipers.
The glare on the windshield for the Blazer ev is terrible when driving toward the sun. It makes it hard to see and unsafe.
The glare reflecting from the dashboard on to the windshield is many times blinding and obstructs a lot of the front view. Also randomly the side mirrors tilt up while driving giving me a view of the sky but not the road behind me.
When driving during the day, specifically facing the sun, there is a glare on the windshield from the dashboard which decreases visibility. It makes it very difficult to see anything to the right of center for the driver and almost impossible for the passenger to see anything directly in front of the vehicle at times.
While driving the vehicle the reflection from the dashboard onto the windshield on a sunny day causes vision to be impaired to where sometimes you cannot see pedestrians or animals at certain angles. This happens constantly while day driving and increases in impaired vision depending on the direction of travel relative to the sun.
Windshield has terrible glare and reflects the dashboard as to limit visibility. Front collision and auto braking including rear collision and braking are a safety hazard as they create hard braking events for no reason. Car will stop sudden for no reason. These are both serious safety issues. These are problems we have had with the car since purchase and have had the dealership shop work on the problem and were told just to leave it turned off. This is not the correct way to fix a problem with a vehicle.
