The back seat middle buckle broke into two pieces and now it is broken, then the right side back seat buckle is in some kind of locking mode and then the right side passenger selt locked up too a few days later. Now I have only two selts belts that work in the SUV. I have called the local chevy dealers hoping that they could help with this problem but they said it would be almost 400. 00 to fix this problem. My brother owned a 1990 Honda civic and brought it to a Honda dealer and they fixed it at no cost because selts are safty issue and have a life time warranty. I thought chevy would have the warranty but the chevy dealer inform no and never will that happen. Please help try to fix this problem. I am a single mother of four young children and if it possible to do myself, I am willing to do it, because this is my own only transportation to get to work and school for our family and I can not use my SUV until I have get this safety issue worked out. Please please help me. I have purchased four belts for my pulley for my SUV and still have the same problem. Its sounds like a squeaking and whistling. I have had replacement it myself the first time but it still did the same thing so I brought my car to local mechician and still no luck, so I bought it to chevy it worked fine for a few weeks then started it again, so new one was put on. Then a couple months later it started again, so they put another new belt, then it started up again a few months later but the one year warranty time was up,but it it still does it. Is this normal?.

My vehicle was towed on October 25, 2006 by master towing CO. In san marcos, texas. Later that evening I was able to get to the wrecker service and pay to get my vehicle out of impound. Once I got home, I noticed that my entire cd case full of compact discs was missing. Its valued at about $500 if not more. I then called the wrecker service the next morning and was not able to get a hold of anyone until Monday oct. 27, 2006. I then spoke to a manager by the name of angie and she told me she would speak with her drivers. She never got back to me so I consistently called until I got a response. When I was finally able to get a hold of her she said that none of her drivers had seen or picked it up and that her company was not liable for my missing items. She did not even seem very concerned with trying to figure out what really happened or try and at least find them. She told me she would get back to me on several occasions and she never did. I was the one to consistently try and get a hold of her. This whole situation is very upsetting. In the mean time I contacted the officer who dealt with my vehicle being impounded and he told me he distinctly remembered there being 2 cd cases in my vehicle and I told him once I picked the vehicle back up there was only one cd case left in my vehicle. He informed me that I was able to file a theft police report which I am currently in the process of doing and he also told me to contact the dot. So that is my current situation. I am very upset. This I am not taking lightly and I would like to try and do something about it. I got my car impounded, that was enough! there was no need for any of my possessions to have been lost, taken or stolen. Please get back in contact with me. Thank you.

My multi function switch quit on my 2002 chevy Blazer. There was a recall on this very part for over 500,000 vechiles but my VIN # was not ione of them. I consider this to be an ongoning problem that should be replace by gm. They tell me it will cost $450. 00 to replace. But if it is an on going problem they should relace it at no charge since it was a faulty item.
The fuel gauge does not work. It will go to full when the fuel tank is filled but when it gets to approximately half empty, it fluctuates and the gauge never moves half. This has caused the vehicle to run out of fuel several times.

2 years ago in the fall, I went to firestone with a complaint of no heat. With no heat, the defrosters are slow or do not clear the windshield in a quick or safe manner. Firestone replaced the thermostat and I had sufficient (not hot like in the past) heat until this past November. Again with no heat or efficient defrosters, I took my vehicle to wilson's auto service. They said my thermostat was completely open--the spring was caught. They performed service to the extent of replacing the thermostat and backflushing the heater core. This seemed to help some until it progressively got colder weather. Last week when the temperature reached 15 degrees in the morning and I let my vehicle "warm up" for 20 minutes, the interior was still very cold and the windshield was barely cleared of light frost. Wilson's is now working on replacing the heater core at a cost to me to the tune of almost $800. Wilson's service manager was told by a friend that works or worked for gm that this is a common complaint with Blazer owners as the design and the placement of the heater core in these vehicles are such that when the heater is not in use--like in the summer--the corrosion and sediment from the coolant clogs up the passages and blocks the hot air to heat the vehicle. Apparently the part is not too expensive but the labor intensive repair is the majority of the cost of replacing the part. I know of at least 2 other Blazer owners--different model years--that have experienced this same problem and incurred significant costs at the risk of safe visibility. If this is a design problem for at least the 3 model years that I know of and other owners are experiencing this same problem, then why hasn't this design been corrected and/or repairs compensated for?.
Vehicle vibrates at speeds above 50 mph. Dealer admitted there was a problem but couldn't fix it.
Problems with 2000 Chevrolet Blazer SUV.
The windshield wipers fail to work properly. They stop working at the most inopportune times. . . Like when there is a rain fall and they are needed for safety and visibility. I contacted gm and was told they have not received enough complaints to warrant a recall. The recall is available on 94 to 96 models. However, the manufacture date on my vehicle is 2/17/1997. In a torrential rain fall, going 50 mph on the interstate, the w/s wipers stopped, it was a very dangerous situation, especially when an 18 wheeler passed my son, whom was driving and splashed extra water on the vehicle. Luckly he maintained control and he was able to pull off to the side of the road.

This car was purchased on 10/25/97. Since then, the weatherstripping on three doors has had to be replaced three different times. Each time the weatherstripping failed, the car leaked flooding the floorboards. As a result, the carpet has had to be replaced twice. The first incident was 12/02/97 , the second 1/19/98 and the most recent 9/08/99 the dealer and the manufacturer both agree that although it does sound like a manufacturer's defect, they are no longer responsible because the vehicle is no longer under warranty.
