Unless the brake pedal is depressed there is a rapid ticking noise coming from the master brake cylinder upon opening the door, even without engaging the start button. This sound continues whether the car is stationary or moving under all traveling or stationary conditions unless the brake pedal is depressed slightly. We first became aware, really noticeable, about it upon opening the car door in July, 2020.
