Two problems related to carrier/rack have been reported for the 1996 Chevrolet C1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While in parking lot at low speed spare tire underneath vehicle fell off. Cable had snapped, it was rusted through.
Hoist cable found almost broken. Should it have broken it would dropped spare tire to the ground.
