One problem related to automatic transmission park/neutral start switch has been reported for the 1998 Chevrolet C1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While vehicle was parked and the engine running, four year old daughter was able to switch the gear without applying the brakes. Vehicle rolled out of driveway.
