Air Bag Not Deploy problems of the 1999 Chevrolet C1500

Two problems related to air bag not deploy have been reported for the 1999 Chevrolet C1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

Failure Date: 10/18/2004

1999 C1500 p/u hit a van near head on at 50 mph. Driver's airbag did not deploy (pass. Was shut off). Truck was demolished.

2 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

Failure Date: 09/23/2003

While driving about 70 mph on the highway and without prior warning driver hit a pothole on the highway causing vehicle to hydroplane and hit a bridge. Upon impact, dual air bags did not deploy. Driver hit his head and was transported to the hospital by ambulance, there was no fatality.
