Two problems related to brake hoses, lines/piping, and fittings have been reported for the 2000 Chevrolet C1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Brake line started leaking while driving through a parking lot. Took it to a gm dealer to have it repaired and he said all the brake lines were rusty and needed to be replaced.
2000 silverado 4 wheel drive truck without any warning had no brakes. . Was towed to dealership (gm) and told that all 4 brake lines were rusted. . Therefore all lines had to be replaced as well as rotors and brake pads. . . Gm would not assist in any of the 1600 dollar plus repair bill. . . . . .
