Two problems related to brakes failed have been reported for the 2003 Chevrolet C1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Attempted to stop vehicle, brakes failed (later found to be due to corrosion) crashed into garage.
Potential brake failure on new vehicle. 2003 chevy silverado information center indicated "reduced brake power. " chevy dealership in new mexico indicated the intake manifold needed to be replaced to provide adequate vacuum for brake assist. New mexico chevy dealer did not have the parts to fix and I was traveling, so they flashed the ipc card to eliminate the message. I returned to houston, TX and westside Chevrolet flashed the ipc in an attempt to mask the problems and told me it was fixed.
