Chevrolet C1500 owners have reported 2 problems related to rear seat belt (under the seat belt category). The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The van I purchased has unacceptable seat belts on the rear bench. The lap belt portion of the seat belt rides too high. It rides up under the arm pits of a smaller person, rather than across the hip bones. I believe this is a safety hazard if we were ever involved in an accident with this vehicle. The dealer replaced the portion of the belt bolted to the floor with a shorter belt, but this did not alleviate the problem.
