One problem related to conventional parking brake has been reported for the 2002 Chevrolet C2500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The emergency brake on my truck has gone out. I have only 36000 miles on the vehicle. I understand there is a corrective fix for this problem. Dealers will install a low-force spring clip retainer for vehicles equipped with a pbr parking brake system. The dealer would only replace the retainer clip but states I would have to pay for the emergency brake shoes. I feel gm should pay for the brake shoes since the retaining clip 'caused the problem.
