Tire Problems of Chevrolet C2500

This started in 2007 with the purchase of goodyear wrangler tires. They have failed in 2009 (paid to replace), 2013, 2014. These tire are used on my2003 Chevrolet 2500 diesel pickup and we pull a 5th wheel. The tires continue to separate and the last incident was on March 6th, 2014. This has not resulted in an accident but it could. We were traveling to phoenix az from grapevine, TX when the rear driver side tire separated. We were in the middle of the desert between albuquerque nm and grants nm. The tire was installed on my vehicle in Sep 2012 and had approximately 18000 miles. In August of 2013 I had to replace 3 more tires because of tread separation. Goodyear will replace them for a price and it's starting to get very costly. They reimburse for about 20% of the cost of a tire. I will buy new tires but not goodyear. They are dangerous.

The contact owns a 1994 Chevrolet C2500 with hercules iron radial ap tires (n/a), size 265/75/16, (dot 3809). The contact stated the tread on the front passenger and rear driver's side tires were cracking. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The tires were not replaced. The approximate failure mileage was 23,000. Rvk.

There were two tires that failed. The first firestone tire was a replacement. It was installed at 3000 miles. Da432t v611 b1c 2800. The second tire that failed was a firestone tire r4, lt245/75r16 e, dot da432tvn11b1cc07l3200. The problem was discovered prior to full failure. It appeared to be a broken belt or partial tread separation.

While driving, the right rear kelly trail mark tire lt235/85r16e experienced a blowout causing vehicle to swerve uncontrollably and into another vehicle, the impact caused both vehicles to leave the roadway and a fire to ensue, there was one fatality and 4 injuries. (attorney for client).

General tires vibrate, the consumer has had tires balanced three times, vibration is still present.
