While driving consumer noticed smoke coming in from the vents. Consumer pulled over, and vehicle caught on fire. Consumer called the fire department to extinguished the fire. Police report was taken. Consumer had the vehicle towed home. Requested by the insurance company.

2 Wiring problem of the 1998 Chevrolet C2500

Failure Date: 08/15/2001

Gas lever indicator was intermittently working. The electrical power that fed to fuel pump had melted, and fused itself to gas lever indicator wire , causing improper reading of gas gauge. This wire was inside gas tank. These wires should not get that hot because it could cause an explosion. Consumer has contacted dealer. Consumer still has the old fuel pump module assembly.

3 Wiring problem of the 2000 Chevrolet C2500

Failure Date: 07/04/2000

While driving consumer noticed flames on back window and the bed of the truck. Consumer was able to get the kids out and left vehicle, and the whole truck blew up. Consumer felt if they had of been 10 seconds longer they would not be here today.
