Ignition Module problems of the 1996 Chevrolet Camaro

Two problems related to ignition module have been reported for the 1996 Chevrolet Camaro. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Ignition Module problem

Consumer states there are two problems with the computer aided gear selection, it physically prevents him from using 2nd or 3rd gear when shifting from first, it also makes it difficult for consumer to move any gear when enabled, he states he struggles with the gear shift for up to two seconds.

2 Ignition Module problem

Ignition control module has failed twice. Ignition coils have failed 3 times. Car vibrates or shuts off when coils or module goes bad. Engine has bad miss when coils or module are going out. This continues to be an ongoing problem that has to be repaired approximately once every 6 months. Parking brake release button rattles when driving.
