While driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle overheated and the "engine power reduced" and "car overheating turn off engine" warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to bryner Chevrolet (located at 1750 the fairway, jenkintown, PA 19046, (215) 402-7267) to be diagnosed, but the mechanic was unable to reproduce the failure. The contact was informed that until the check engine indicator illuminated again, the mechanic would be unable to offer a repair. After several days, the check engine indicator illuminated and the vehicle was taken back to the dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the water pump needed to be replaced. The water pump was replaced; however, the failure recurred. The contact was also informed that the thermostat needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 73,416.
