I am reporting a severe safety hazard involving my 2019 Chevrolet Camaro. The vehicle has suffered a total failure of its audio amplifier, resulting in a complete loss of all interior audio. This is not a convenience or entertainment issue. Because the amplifier controls all vehicle audio output, the car no longer produces any audible safety warning alerts or chimes. This includes the complete loss * turn signal indicator clicks (leaving the driver unaware if indicators are active) * seatbelt unfastened reminder alarms * door/trunk-ajar alerts * blind-spot monitoring audible alerts * forward collision warning alerts * parking assist sensor warnings operating a vehicle without these critical sensory alerts creates an immediate, active hazard on public roads. The driver cannot hear warnings of imminent collisions, lane departures, or simple indicators like active turn signals. The vehicle was taken to an authorized gm dealership (jake sweeney Chevrolet) on July 7, 2026. A diagnostic check confirmed internal amplifier damage. A valid extended warranty claim was approved to replace the part. However, general motors executive customer service and the dealership parts manager have officially confirmed in writing that this critical safety component has been discontinued. No replacement parts or compatible alternative part numbers exist in stock at any dealership nationwide. General motors /jake sweeney Chevrolet is telling me they are entirely unable to provide a functional safety replacement part for a 7 year-old vehicle, forcing me to operate a vehicle with fundamentally compromised driver-safety systems.
