I have noticed that my car is shuttering/vibrating. I feel it in the steering wheel/gas pedal to my seat. It starts at 35mph plus and at different speed intervals. I either have to decelerate or accelerate to get it to quit. My neighbor who is a mechanic at maserati/Porsche dealer road with me to verify and also pulled up codes. None were set off. He researched complaints of same issues. Possible fixes could be from changing transmission fluid/flushes/torque converter replacement. Apparently a common issue problems reported. Under 80gs on odometer. Another reported high issue I had to take care myself. Was the back window coming unglued to top. The recalled 17s and 18s due to glue defects. I contacted gm/chevy and the only thing they are willing to do is give me 230$ which doesn't even put a dent in the charge of a real fix.
When I press the gas the car transmission is jerking.
I am reporting an issue with my 2019 Chevrolet Camaro 2lt rs involving a faulty torque converter. The vehicle began showing symptoms consistent with transmission shuddering and performance issues. After diagnostic evaluation at a certified Chevrolet dealership, I was informed the torque converter needs to be replaced and the transmission fluid flushed. Upon researching, I found that this problem is covered under a technical service bulletin (TSB) issued by gm for this specific model and year, indicating it's a known issue. However, my vehicle is now out of warranty, and gm has not issued a recall despite the safety and drivability concerns. I believe this defect should be investigated further, as it poses a risk to vehicle performance and potentially driver safety.
Convertible rear window glass is delaminating and the convertible top has to be replaced.
Transmission failures. The issue initially presented as intermittent trasmision shuddering, hesitation during accelaration, harsh and delayed shifting, and noticeable vibration, particularly at low speeds and during gear changes. These symptms progressively worsened over time and affected drivability and safty. Prior the failure, there were no warning lights or dashboard messages displayed. Based on professional diagnosis, they are consistent with internal transmission defects commonly reported for this model. (gm's-8 speed automatic transmition 8l45/8l90)technical service bulletins tsb18-na-335 and tsb16-na-175. Chevrolet has denied reimbursement. The repairs performed to date have only provided temporary remedy, the issue remains ongoing and consistent with the known defects associated with the transmission.
The car warning system states place car in park when car is in park. Cannot turn override this system. Have to wiggle the gear shift until it recognizes it is in park. This seems to be an issue with some gm products.
While accelerating my Camaro begins to shake violently kind of like a shuttering. It happens on cruise control also. The violent shaking makes it hard to keep control of the vehicle. I looked online and found thousands of owners with the same problems. The weirdest thing is that my check engine light comes on for a few days then goes off for months. This absolutely needs to be recalled! I’m going in for my second opinion tomorrow but the last mechanic said I can replace the torque converter or that I might have a misfire in my engine. People need to be compensated for these expensive repairs, especially sense the car is so expensive. Gm had to know these parts were faulty. In no way shape or form, is there this many complaints about a vehicles parts and as a company they knew nothing about it. These mishaps are extremely dangerous and could be life threatening.
The rear window is separating from the roof. It seems to be a common problem with certain Camaros and other type gm convertibles. The original roof was replaced on this vehicle for same problem. The replaced rear window, roof is now separating from the roof again. (in less than 2 years since the original roof was replaced) gm/Chevrolet's only fix is to replace the entire roof. It appears to be a manufacturing defect with the glue/adhesive in the manufacturing process. Chevy will not honor or stand behind their product and want me to pay for the entire roof replacement. It is a known issue among convertible Camaro owners. Chevy even issued a technical service bulletin on this issue in November of 2019. Bulletin # 17-na-216. It seems gm will only fix this issue if the vehicle within the 3 year 36,000 mile warranty. I believe this is a safety issue because the rear window could shatter while driving or become loose and fly off and hit other vehicle while at highway speed.
Rear window separating from convertiable. Local chevy dealer has inspected the car. Safety issue for others as it can come off while driving. Gm recalled 2017 & 2018 for faulty glue adhering gm headquarters has been contacted.
While driving I retracted the convertible roof and it wouldn't close. The "top secure" indicator came on, how ever it was not secure. This caused excessive attention off the road and since it was raining caused water damage. I took the car to cox Chevrolet in bradenton, FL. Service representative was ray ph# 9417492674. I showed him the picture of another customer with the same issue that had his car covered under recall. There must be a part or design issue if both sides have broken with exact similarities at different times and they are the identical parts. Ray said to contact cheverolet since the dealership cannot cover the repair. I contacted Chevrolet customer service at ph# 8002221020 and that rep said, your car is not covered because it was manufactured at a different plant location. I asked what does it matter which manufacturing plant it was if it's identical parts? the rep had no answer. They were going to charge me $745 to fix the issue. I explained, this car has already been here for the exact same issue on the driver side and you replaced everything because it was under warranty now it happens on the passengers side and your not covering the cost. Attached is the invoice from cox Chevrolet and the invoice with details of another customer.
Loss of shifter to b. C. M. Shifter switch failure after turning off engine would say action required shift to park.
The rear window is separating from the convertible top on my vehicle. There is an NHTSA 10137486 for models up to 2017, but mine is a 2019 and doing the same thing as this.
The car sometimes will not start. Key fobs have been replaced new from Chevrolet dealer also new battery and multiple Chevrolet dealers can not find a problem but many times the car will not start.
When I first got my car I noticed the car acting funny when I was taking off. I took it to the dealer ship and they said it was fine. So net time I went it was for an oil change. I asked them to look at it again and they said nothing was wrong. The third time I asked them to look at it they said its fine and it was working as it should . They told me it learns my driving. They also told me they adjusted it. Well it has done the same thing from day one and is still doing it. The car slips on take off and then sounds bad when it shifts and sometimes shifts erratically. . My 2015 was a great car and drove 100 times better. This car is only driven in the summer . I never drive my Camaro's in the winter. My car is a2019 and it had 2 miles on it when I bought it. I just had in in for a oil change before I put it away and asked about the trans and they said it was ok. Its not ok.
I was driving straight on August 7, 2019 just off of short cut road (just a regular street) sometime after 3pm and before 4pm in maryland with my sunroof not fully opened (first stage). It was not raining. While driving, I heard a very loud sound as if a gun went off. I then was shattered with glass. I looked up and could see straight through and saw that the sunroom shattered. I stopped and looked at the damage. Basically, the sunroof just exploded. The car was not hurt other than the sunroof. Glass was everywhere inside the car and on me. I was not hurt and I proceeded back home. I called my insurance company geico when I got home on August 7, 2010. Today, I told people and they told me to go to your website and put in complaint. I will be calling the dealership today. I have no photo.
