| Front Suspension Lower Ball Joint problems |
The camber plate nut fell off inside the shock causing me to lose control and go through a field. The camber plate is the only thing holding the strut to the vehicle and should have had a locknut from the factory as it's nothing more than a ball joint. It is available to inspect. It caused me to lose all control when it separated. I own a garage and confirmed failure myself. No I called chevy about it and even asked if they wanted to send a factory rep out to look at it. I was told no and the only way they might be able to do anything is if I take it to the dealer for repairs. It was giving a small clunk at times that I thought was normal characteristics of the aggressive suspension. I do have pictures showing the failure as well if you would like them.
While backing up and turning in a parking lot heard a pop got out and found my left front lower ball joint failed. Nothing was hit wheel and tire okay . Dealer said I must have hit something but once again no damage to the car.
