The contact owns a 2020 Chevrolet Camaro. The contact stated while shifting into gears to pull out of a parking space, the vehicle failed to respond. The vehicle was taken to an unknown dealer, where the tcm was replaced. Additionally, the contact stated that while reversing out of a parking space, the vehicle accelerated unintendedly. The contact stated that the brake pedal was depressed, but failed to respond. The vehicle hit a brick wall and crashed into an unoccupied parked vehicle, which then pushed an occupied vehicle. There was no warning light illuminated. The side air bags deployed. There was no injury sustained. A police report was filed. It was unknown whether there was property damage. The vehicle was towed to caliber collision and was awaiting an insurance adjuster assessment. The contact had received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 15v148000(power train), which the contact related to the failure; however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 5,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
