The contact owns a 2020 Chevrolet Camaro. The contact stated that the passenger’s side daytime running light bulb was blown. The contact called two dealers and an independent mechanic and was informed that the passenger’s side headlight module had to be replaced to repair the failure. The contact stated that the cost of repair was too expensive for a single light bulb. Due to the failure, the contact stated that nighttime driving visibility was limited. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 62,000.

When driving all gages stop working all lighting inside and outside when driving. Happens sporadically. Took to Chevrolet and they said needed a battery so I changed and still happened. Took to performance shop and left for almost a month where a diagnosis was made that it was a corroded rear bumper wiring harness. I also found this problem on a forum with other cameros. He cleaned and it did not act up for a couple of weeks then on my way to work early one morning this week (dark outside) running approx 60 mph all of my lights went out again. My car still runs just no lights. Called Chevrolet to report safety issue with no resolution.

3rd brake light randomly goes dim online thousands of people have the same issue, it needs to be a recall. Light diodes are getting bad and the other half are cracking from the heat of the window. Chevy changed the like to the trunk lid. Seems suspicious to me. Chevy needs to make it right. Its federal law to have a 3rd brake light.

My carmaro has only 47,750 miles and five years old and I do not drive it that much. However, about a year and half ago the left headlight and daylamp is out. This have to be a manufactire issue, and when I talk to dealeship service dept the cost to repair the problem is $2,300, this just to expensive for a car that does not have a lot of miles on it.

The headlight assembly has a reflective plate and has a manufactures defect that is a safety hazard. The reflective plate becomes yellow due to the heat of the hid light bulbs and causes the low beam lights to become dim and not put out the required output for safety and visibility. This part can not be replaced individually and the whole headlight assembly has to be replaced at a cost of $1200 per each side. Changing out the hid bulb with a comparable one does not increase the visibility either. I’ve taken my car to the dealership and have it on record what is wrong with it and that there is no other reason for the dim headlight other than that one defective piece. The visibility is awful.

The radio makes a loud pop & makes me jump as it goes on & off whenever it wants to. As this happens, the dash light turns off, the heater/ac turns off, the signal lights stop flashing, & when the turn signal is activated it makes a loud static noise that flashes through the speakers. It is a safety issue because it's distracting & it's dangerous for signal lights not to work properly. The car only had 60,000 miles when this began. I've been told there are computer chips, ecm modules, a new stereo with on star navigation & I honestly can't remember all that was tested wrong with the electrical system that is estimated at $1000 to repair. I have seen numerous complaints of the same issue on the web. I sincerely believe it is a problem Chevrolet is aware of & a recall should be made before an accident is caused.

My 2014 Chevrolet the radio /air conditioning and a/c controls,overhead lightning and now the blinkers are popping cracking lighting up my electronics in the center console and it is very scary. The a/c clicks on and off my turn signals are effected and now I am having to get a jump to start my car and I have a 1 year new battery. I am afraid with this going on and it is a known problem for this car.

My car don't want to pull when taking off . Gear shift not changing . The radio goes on and off making horrible noise like the car fina blow up. There are noises coming from my trunk or back tires sounds like my car tearing up.

The driver side door started making a knocking noise and the window would not shut all the way. The doors would start unlocking on their own and the driver window would try to roll all the way up unsuccessfully. The control panel would flash a notice that the door was unlocked and the interior lights stayed on while driving and when parked and engine turned off. One event lasted 45 seconds while I was driving on the interstate highway and another event while I was sitting at my local Chevrolet service center. This event happened while the remote key was sitting on the dash in service center envelope and the car was off. The doors started unlocking and locking and driver window started going up and down. Then all the doors locked with me inside of the car and I could not open the door to get out all while the interior lights stayed on. Key gets locked in the ignition after car is put into park and even after car has been turned off. For a while the stereo will turn off and on. Lights stay flickering from time to time.

My radio has been turning off and on . Then after 2 months of doing that my radio completely shut off. When ever I put my signals I'm not able to hear them. Which I believe it's a risk because I'm not aware if I have them on or not. I have heard that I'm not the only one with this problem. The dealership won't take responsibility for this.

The stereo has a "short" as determined by my local dealer. The local dealer also informed me that this is a "well known issue" for this generation of Camaros. The issue causes the stereo and all connected systems to short, turn off, then turn back on. During each cycle of this process a loud pop comes from the stereo speakers that is similar to a balloon popping in close proximity to an individual. Currently this will wither happen once after startup with the radio not turning back on for the duration of the trip, or will happen repeatedly during the duration of the drive. In the situation where the radio shorts and stays off for the remainder of the drive, none of the audio warnings for the car will work while stereo is shorted out. This includes but is not limited to seat belt warnings, low fuel warnings, door ajar warnings, reverse gear notification (manual transmission), engine overheat warning, power steering warning, transmission overheat warning, parking lamp notification, headlamp notification, parking break warning, abs warning, blinker chime. The popping sound made by the radio while it is shorting can be very distracting while driving and there is no way to turn it off. It can also be unexpected and startling and may cause reactions from the driver. While the radio is shorted out the audio chime for the blinker does not work. There have been several instances where the blinker's audio chime was not operative for the entire time the vehicle was running. In the manual transmission vehicle the reverse gear audio notification does not operate when the radio is shorted. This can cause a driver to unexpectedly place the vehicle in reverse when attempting to quickly shift to 1st gear. In normal operation the vehicle emits a notification sound when the vehicle is placed into reverse along with a r displayed on the gauge cluster.

The stereo and the a/c and the console lights turn on and off randomly while driving. Also, there is a loud popping sound coming from the speakers every time it cuts off. Many others have complained about this problem on the web.

Coolant leaking from the water pump area and the water pump area and the water outlet that sits above the water pump. Timing cover gasket: the front cover is leaking oil. Major problem is the back signal lights. Major problems is the trunk leaking water and bulb sockets are getting corroded. Both the rear tail lamps have water in them and have damaged the sockets for the outer bulbs. Needs both tail lamps and harnesses replaced. This could cause rear end accidents on the hwy. I have documents from dan vaden Chevrolet 912-925-9393 (mr. Robert william) and general motors corporate office in michigan, executive office (mr. Eric 855-880-1500 ext. 5921792) 12/30/2019 concerning these issues. Water tunnels in the trunk manufacture designed by general motors. There is a distracting pop in the radio which also affects the signal lights, the heater and air conditioner controls, and the controls for the radio itself. There are numerous complaints on the web for this same year vehicle with the same problem. It is very distracting as when the radio pops it makes a loud noise that is similar to running over something or hitting something with your vehicle. Also the tail light on the driver side won't stay on and the headlight on the passenger side has a short in it also. These problems I have been listed numerous times on the web. I have had several service mechanics look at it and they haven't been able to fix it as of yet. I recently read online. There is a short in those radios. But the radio is still is listed as at $700. I don't have this kind of money to replace it. And I'm not sure if that will fix the problem or not. I wrote to Chevrolet when it first happened about 35,000 mi ago. I got a reply that they didn't have enough complaints yet. I don't know if they ever looked on the web because at the time there were quite a few and they are still listed today. This was the year after I bought my car which would have been 2018. It's a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro LS. Please assist as this affects where I go as I am afraid that something will happen to my car since it affects so many things already. I don't want it to cause other problems as these are more than enough to affect my driving. My car had approximately 30,000, mi at the time this incident began.

Radio shuts off randomly during driving city streets and at highway speeds. Blowers will sometimes shut off when the radio turns off. Dash lights also flicker 5-10 times when radio shuts off and after turning the car off. When pulling the key from the ignition, speakers pop loudly. Extremely distracting and dangerous. No issue with battery or alternator. Gm says they don't know about the issue, however there are multiple videos on youtube and forums online of this issue. Apparently there's a possible solution by cutting the 18th wire, furthest white wire to the left behind the stereo face plate. This problem needs to be recalled.

When I purchased it 3 years ago, the driver side white tail light would work, then it wouldn't. Bulb & fuse are fine. Now it doesn't work at all. Radio turns off & on with a pop sound through the speakers while driving at random times.

Gm will not cover the cost of replacing the entire light assembly on this model and year car. Upon further inspection of the assembly, reflector bowl was observed to be damaged by extreme heat caused by the factory bulbs this heat caused cracking and damage to the reflective coating making the lights very dim. The lenses are clear and it is obvious that it is poor assembly that gm should warranty for a car that is 8 years old. They refuse to replace the bad factory light assembly.

Hid light output is very poor. Purchased car used in April of 2015 lighting was very good, now 3 years later the forward lighting is very poor.

Vehicle has had a code of p008 intermittently then permanently since 68000 miles, it is now at 99,500 miles. The code relates to timing chain stretching which is causing engine misfire. Same problem with identical engine has been addressed in form of warranty extension for several vehicles, including Cadillac cts, extending warranty to 10 years or 120k miles. This has not been done for the Camaro for reasons which elude me. Occasional problems with stalling and reduced power (especially in situations requiring the additional power), as well as engine "roughness" certainly cause safety concerns for me. In addition, the problem with the passenger safety bag seat pad sensor has been ongoing and is also not recalled, although the system keeps passenger airbag off in the presence of a passenger due to a short in the pad, also well-documented and clearly a safety hazard. The interior lighting system is simply a nuisance and not a safety concern at this time. The cost of repairs is staggering, and I've never seen an instance where a timing chain needed to be replaced during the expected operating period of a vehicle with normal use. Clearly it is a design flaw which needs to be addressed, as it has been with other vehicles utilizing this engine. The number of instances which go unreported and simply get repaired at the owner's expense is also quite significant, according to the research I have done. Please note that this problem started intermittently in late 2016 and has become a continual problem as of this writing. The check engine light is always on at this point, with the p008 code.

Condition was unbearable as driver could not see enough light on the road in just this car. Upon removal and inspection of headlamp assembly, reflector bowl was observed to be damaged by heat with cracks and reflective coating missing in certain areas. All lenses were clear and intact, with just the reflector bowl being damaged.

Takata recall, my Camaro has been making a lot of noises on the left front of the pumper, I called the dealer I bought my car from, and they want me to pay $125 an hr for inspection which they had told me everything would be free as long as I keep taking my car with them which everything was a lie I was supposed to get my oil changes for free, never happened after 2 nd time taking my car I had to pay, so I called for an oil change appointment and also mentioned to them that my seat belt was not working, that I had to get it fixed ASAP because I could not drive it like that it can be very dangerous, so I got my appointment set up, next thing I show up on my scheduled date, andy they told me I can't get my seat belt fixed without paying, well??? isn't there a warranty that covers 6 years on whatever happens to the vehicle? I guess that's not there policy �ed denas, I've been asking other dealers, and they all told me Camaros have a 6 year warranty no matter what, why is this specific dealer not sticking to there word? they haven't been the best since the beginning, I can't keep paying for inspections when they said everything is covered for up to 6 years!.

I have taken this vehicle to Chevrolet dealerships approx. 8 different times due to malfunction of this vehicle. I have contacted general motors this vehicle started these problems 1 month after I purchased it when I purchased it ,it only had 95 miles on it, in the mean time due to general motors closing the case and not willing to fix the issue I have contacted the better business bureau , I have also contacted nbc news " call 12 for action" since I have purchased this vehicle in November of 2016 this vehicle has been stalling in the in traffic, the computers will go blank and when they come back on they have to reboot, as I mentioned I have taken this vehicle in 8 different times and nobody can fix the issue, I even requested a field mechanic which general motors set up after the bbb contacted them. I took my vehicle in on June 12th and cannot get anyone to return my call the issues are still happening nbc news contacted me yesterday and asked if I had contacted the NHTSA due to this safety issue nbc news " call 12 for action" gave me this website said that they could not contact you until I had filed a complaint. Since I purchased this vehicle I have spoken with several different people at general motors trying to get this vehicle fixed and have been getting the runaround until the bbb has got involved. These issues have taken place in the middle of traffic it has happened when just sitting in a parking lot I would be at a stop light and go to acculturate when the light turned green and it would automatically stop and the computers in the vehicle would black out. Chevrolet has tried 8 different times to fix this problem and has been unsuccessful every time. General motors even had me take it to a different dealership they cant seem to find the safety issue with this vehicle.

My convertible top on my 2014 chevy Camaro leaked water in the rear passenger side. Gm said the passenger side door panel splash guard glue came off and the passenger side grommet was installed incorrectly. The service assistant said this "happens all the time with the Camaro convertibles". I would like the NHTSA to consider a recall for these issues and would like to request the number of reported similar problems that the NHTSA has received with regards to the same body style of chevy Camaro convertibles. Also gm refused to inspect for mold and never cleaned or replaced the carpet following the nonconforming condition. I believe this present a substantial danger to my family's safety and anyone else who rides in the vehicle. I live in alabama where mold grows profusely, which only serves to amplify the danger.

1st problem, the left speaker started a loud screeching noise while the radio was still playing. I had to stop the car and turn off the engine to stop the noise. 2nd problem, when I hit a bump in the road, the radio shuts off. I can't get local stations. Only sirrus station. Now when I turn the steering wheel too hard the radio shuts off then comes back on. Now while driving on the high ways, the dash board lightsturns off by them selves momentarily then turns back on. Also because of these problems, I turn the radio off. . . And while driving the radio turns on by itself. I'm a owner of a 2011 Chevrolet aveo . 65,000 miles. I only had this car for about 15 months I have change out tires twice since I had it , I got my car fixed on 4 times already one being spark plugs , the container that holds the antifreeze replace, the brakes, and also the part that holds the oil that is removed during oil change metal was stripped when I went for my first oil change and I had to get that replaced. . . It slows down going up a heel and also when turning left or right especially on a heel. Just the other day I was driving up a heel and my brakes wouldn't push down my car had a electrical glitch that made my clock restart . . . Also there is a weird noise my car has been make from day 1 when I start driving it sounds like I'm driving a small helicopter that's about to take off I've been told that it was how those cars sound . . . . . Idk what to believe I hate I ever got this car the dealer dont even want the car back they only offered me 2,500 for the car I paid 11,000 for. I was told its not in high demand no one wants the car. . . .

Air conditioner stopped working, radio and screen stopped working, lights on dash stopped working, would not allow me to add fuel. The car was on empty and as I tried to pump gas, the gas would come back out. 2nd incident on August 22, 2014 - air conditioner would not work, lights on dash would not work 3rd incident on August 24, 2014 - air conditioner, radio and screen and all power controls inside the control would not work. 4th incident - August 26th - air conditioner stopped working milage as of now on car 2,600 miles.

For no apparent reason, my entire gauge cluster lights, a/c & air control knob lights, and the light for the shifter all stopped working. Also, my trip odometer does not function either. I checked the fuse panel located on the left of the steering wheel and noticed I wasn't missing any of them & none went bad either. What else could be causing this to happen? obviously it's an electrical problem of some sort.

I purchased my 2010 chevy Camaro 2ss, in February of 2012. It had 4,400 miles on it. About a month or two, after I bought it, it completely shut off on me, on a major highway, while doing 65 mph. I threw it into neutral and turned the key and it started right back up. About a month after that, I was doing about 20mph on a back road and it did the same exact thing. Just recently, about 2 weeks ago, I was in 6th gear, on cruise doing 60mph and I felt the car "jerk" or buck" a little bit. Followed immediately by the car decelerating. I down-shifted to 4th gear and was giving it gas, but still wouldn't speed up. It fell down to about 40mph, before finally catching itself and speeding back up. About a mile later, I got off my exit and was coming down to the stop sign,when all the indicator lights came on for about 10 seconds. They went off and I made a left hand turn and went about a mile up the road. At that point, the car completely shut off doing about 35mph. There was heavy traffic, so I pulled over and started it back up. I called the chevy dealership, where I bought it from, and they had no openings for a week. So I took it last week to get it checked and they found nothing that could have caused it, they say. I am very upset, but very thankful that my two children were not with me when it happened. I am currently contemplating trading it in, cuz I am worried that if it happens again,and my children are in the car, that it might shut off in very congested bumper to bumper traffic, on the highway at night, and a tractor trailer is behind me and I can't get it started or someone doesn't see me cuz my lights would be off. The thought of that completely scares me.

The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnose that the right signal compartment area retained water and caused the bulb to fail. The bulb compartment was cut for the water to leak and the bulb was replaced, however the failure was not corrected. The right directional bulb continued to fail. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 67,463 and the current mileage was 73,000.

The steering wheel broke while pulling out of a parking space. The vehicle was towed to the dealer for repairs. The consumer stated that the steering wheel snapped at the t bar. It was held together with duct tape. The dealer allowed the consumers son to drive home with the broken steering wheel because it was not under warranty. The lock fell out of the driver side door.
