Both original seat belt guides have failed. The drivers side one was replaced on 4/8/99 and failed again on 10/24/99. If the guide broke during a crash, the seat belt could wrap around the drivers neck causing serious harm. Can we get gm to fix this bad plastic piece for good?.

2 Front Seat Belt Anchorage problem of the 1996 Chevrolet Camaro

Failure Date: 07/19/1998

While driving the driver's and passenger's restraints broke at the anchor,causing the restraints to be inoperable. The dealer will replace the restraints. The manufacturer has been notified.

3 Front Seat Belt Anchorage problem of the 1997 Chevrolet Camaro

Vehicle was hit from behind, front passenger seat belt did not engage, the passenger's head and shoulder hit the dashboard and windshield.
