Three problems related to front seat belt anchorage have been reported for the 1996 Chevrolet Cavalier. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Seat belt anchor casing split, causing seat belt to become ineffective.
The drivers side seat belt failed, the plastic part which is attached to the metal tongue of the belt snapped off making the seat belt unable to hold position after fastening. Nlm.
While in an accident driver's head struck the hard plastic cover that covers the metal ring that the seat belt strap comes through, causing injury.
