One problem related to automatic transmission column shift has been reported for the 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Button on shift indicator is very easy to depress, causing transmission to shift from drive into neutral accidently. Other time , gear shifted from drive all the way to reverse. The dealer is not aware of this problem.
