Three problems related to windshield wiper/washer motor have been reported for the 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Windshield wipers comes on intermittently. Last winter windshield wipers came on during a snow storm wipers were stuck on windshield. Dealership is aware of the problem.
When switching the windshield wipers on they go on. But when switching them off they stop in the field division (on the glass). Motor replaced one year ago. Problem exists again. Dealer contacted, and sees a problem for a $300 replacement.
The wipers on vehicle are stuck in the up position. The wipers work in rain, but when turned off, they stop right in the upright position, impairing drivers visibility. Please provide any further information. Ph.
