Three problems related to windshield wiper/washer motor have been reported for the 1997 Chevrolet Cheyenne. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Windshield wiper motor failed in the rain.
Intermittently the windshield wipers malfunctioned, causing poor visibility while driving in rainy or snowy weather. Dealer had not been contacted, and the cause of the failure had not yet been determined.
Windshield wipers work intermittantly, mostly off. Can wiggle wires or tap motor and they will come on for few minutes, then off again. Know of msny incidents of same problem with other chev and GMC pickups of similar model years.
