Electrical System Problems of Chevrolet C/k 2500

Instrument cluster just quit working altogether. This will be the third time the cluster will have been replaced. The first two were on gm; this one is going to be on me. What in the world is wrong with gm or the manufacturer of this part. Why do they keep producing crap? until the cluster is replaced, I have no idea of engine functions and if it weren't for my gps, I'd have no idea of my speed.

Since having the heater / ac fan speed control modual replaced under a recall last fall, this summer I have had several situations where the a/c unit will turn to heat or, the a/c will go to defrost, defrost / feet, without moving the selector controls.

This vehicle is a duramax 2500 (diesel), the first thing that happened was the engine hours reset itself to zero the dealer said it needed a new instrument cluster then the gear shift indicator quit working so you have to count each time you move it to know what gear you are in I feel this presents a safety hazard and should be fixed by the manufacturer. 2005 chevy 2500hd diesel - the number 2 and number 7 injector wire harness is not mounted properly. It rubs through and puts the truck into what they call "limp mode". It only allows the motor to got up to 2000 rpm. This happened to me twice with my current truck. The second time I was running down interstate I-80 @ 70mph on cruise control. It automatically began downshifting and slowing down. I was lucky a semi wasn't bearing down on me. Go to diesel place or any other blog on chevy durmax diesels and do a search for no. 2 & 7 wire harness for the second generation diesel (2004. 5-2005) - they must have fixed it after that.

2006 chev hd2500 blower motor quit working. Tested and found blower motor control module electrical terminal melted along with pigtail connector. We were told by Chevrolet dealership this is a common problem. Replaced control module along with pigtail. Dealership has these parts in stock. May possibly be a fire hazard.

Engine does not idle and shuts off. According to internet sites, its a wire failure in the throttle body connector. Can be a major issue when you come to a stop. Some times will not restart right away.

All gauges stopped working on my 2007 chevy silverado.

My 2002 chevy 2500 hd silverado with 8. 1 engine quits running while driving. Does not matter what speed I'm going, it just stops running. After I pull over put truck in park, turn key off for a few minutes it will usually start up.

Engine stall without notice. Will not start without notice will die at idle without notice. Stalls vary. May stall 3 times a day or go weeks without stalling. Tried putting in a new computer. Did not help. Spent a lot of money trying to find the problem. I am pissed. Still not fixed.
