Chevrolet C/k 2500 owners have reported 2 problems related to exterior rearview mirror (under the visibility category). The most recently reported issues are listed below.
In June of 2005 I purchased a 2005 Chevrolet 2500hd with the camp extendable mirrors. Upon leaving the dealership I called the sales rep and told him the mirrors were shaking and I could not identify vehicles behind me. I was told don't worry for I will have replacement mirrors ordered tomorrow. I was allowed by gm a replacement of the drivers side only for it was the worst. The replacement provides no change per the service technician , but he was not allowed to order another mirror for gm had released a bulletin of the mirror issue. I contacted gm receiving no recourse and no issue date of a possible fix. On 11-28 2005 I was involved in a accident because I believe I was staring in the mirror and side swiped a dump truck that crossed the median, and I did not react in time to avoid this accident. I have filed for the florida lemon law because gm tells me "it's only mirrors and we know about it so when there is a fix you will be notified. The 2006's have the cure!!!.
